Flair Airlines Name Change Policy

Flair Airlines has specific policies regarding name corrections on flight reservations to ensure that passenger information matches government-issued identification:

Minor Name Corrections (Up to 3 Characters):

Definition: Corrections involving three or fewer characters in the first, middle, or last name.

Procedure: These corrections can be made online through the Manage My Booking tool on Flair's website.

Fees: No fee is charged for minor corrections made online. If assistance is required via Flair's Contact Centre, a Contact Centre Transaction fee will apply.

Major Name Corrections (Four or More Characters):

Definition: Changes involving four or more characters in the name.

Procedure: These can be performed online using the Manage My Booking tool or via Flair's Contact Centre.

Fees: A Name Correction fee applies for major corrections. Additionally, if processed through the Contact Centre, the Contact Centre Transaction fee will also apply.

Adding or Removing Names:

First and Last Names: Adding a first or last name is considered a major correction and can be done online or via the Contact Centre, with applicable fees.

Middle Names: Adding or removing a middle name must be done through the Contact Centre. In this case, both the Name Correction and Contact Centre Transaction fees are waived.

Legal Name Changes:

Eligibility: If a legal name change has occurred (e.g., due to marriage or court order), Flair will waive the Name Correction and Contact Centre Transaction fees upon provision of official supporting documentation, such as a marriage license or court order.

Important Considerations:

Non-Transferable Tickets: Flair's fares are non-transferable; complete name changes to transfer a ticket to another individual are not permitted.

Identification Match: Passenger identification must exactly match the ticket and boarding pass for name and birth date.

Timing: Name corrections should be made as soon as an error is noticed to avoid complications during travel.

How to Correct a Name Online:

1. Visit the Manage My Booking page on Flair's website.
2. Enter the passenger's last name and reservation code.
3. Click on "Correct personal information" and then "Change name / fix spelling."
4. Enter the correct name in the pop-up window.
5. Confirm the change. For minor corrections, no fee will apply; for major corrections, a fee will be indicated.
