If you miss your Avelo Airlines flight, the outcome depends on when and how you manage your reservation. Here's a breakdown of Avelo's missed flight and no-show policies:
No-Show Policy
If you fail to cancel or change your reservation at least 15 minutes before the scheduled departure and do not board the flight, Avelo considers you a "no-show." In such cases, your reservation may be canceled without notice, and all associated charges are forfeited.
Changing or Canceling a Flight
You can change or cancel your flight online up to 15 minutes before departure. For reservations made on or after March 6, 2025, the following applies:
- With AveloFlex: No change or cancel fees are assessed.
- Without AveloFlex: Fees are based on how close to departure you make the change or cancellation:
- More than 60 days before departure: No fee
- 8–60 days before departure: 25% of the reservation value
- 24 hours–7 days before departure: 50% of the reservation value
- 15 minutes–24 hours before departure: 75% of the reservation value
- Less than 15 minutes before departure: No changes or cancellations permitted; all charges are forfeited
Refunds and Travel Funds
- Full Refund: If you cancel within 24 hours of booking and at least 7 days before departure, you're eligible for a full refund to your original payment method.
- Avelo Travel Funds: Cancellations made outside the 24-hour window result in Avelo Travel Funds, which can be used for future Avelo flights.
