American Airlines Baggage Allowance Policy allows Economy Class passengers to carry check-in baggage weighing 20 kgs for free of any charges. The dimensions must not exceed more than 157 linear cms. (L + B + H) Business Class and First Class passengers are allowed to carry 2 bags of the same dimensions and weight as Economy Class passengers. The carry-on or cabin baggage can be of 7 kgs in weight and the dimensions of this bag should not exceed a total of 114 linear cms. Passengers traveling with American Airlines are also allowed to carry a personal carry-on item such as camera bag, laptop or briefcase and handbags for women passengers are allowed.
Customers are given the option of web check-in which begins 24 hours and up to 45 minutes before the flight (90 minutes for international). To check-in and check bags at the airport, passengers must be there a certain amount of time before their scheduled departure (within the US: 45 minutes and to or from destinations outside the US: 60 minutes).

Countries can have different passport validity requirements, for example, minimum 6 months from arrival date, minimum 3 months from arrival date, valid on the date of arrival or valid 3 months beyond the planned stay in the destination country.
