Aer Lingus Missed Flight Policy

If you miss your Aer Lingus flight, the options available to you depend on your fare type and the timing of your cancellation:

Refund Eligibility: Regardless of fare type, you are entitled to claim a refund of government taxes and charges up to 30 days after the missed flight. A refund administration fee may apply.

Fare Types and Refunds:

Saver, Smart, or Plus Fare: These fares are non-refundable. However, if your flight is to/from the United States and you cancel within 24 hours of booking (and the booking was made at least one week prior to departure), you may be eligible for a refund.

Advantage, Flex, or Business Flex Fare: A full refund is available if you cancel before the flight's departure time.

Business Fare: A full refund minus 15% of the flight fare applies upon cancellation.

Missed Departure Fee: Aer Lingus charges a "Late Check-in or Missed Departure Fee" of €75 per passenger, per flight.

Rebooking Options: If you miss your flight, you may have the option to rebook onto the next available flight. However, airlines can and will charge fees if they are able to reschedule missed flights.
