Air North Baggage Policy

Air North, Yukon's Airline, offers a generous baggage policy that varies depending on the aircraft type and route. Here's a comprehensive overview:

Carry-On Baggage

Allowance: 1 carry-on bag plus 1 personal item per passenger.

Weight Limits:

Boeing 737 & ATR 42 Routes: Combined weight of 10 kg (22 lbs).

Dimensions:

Carry-On Bag: Maximum dimensions of 56 x 36 x 23 cm (22 x 14 x 9 inches).
Personal Item: Should fit under the seat in front of you.

Checked Baggage

Allowance:

Boeing 737 Routes: 2 checked bags, each up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
ATR 42 Routes: 2 checked bags, each up to 20 kg (44 lbs).

Dimensions: Maximum linear dimensions (length + width + height) of 157 cm (62 inches) per bag.

Maximum Number of Bags: Up to 4 bags per passenger, including excess baggage. Bags exceeding this limit must be shipped as cargo.

Excess, Overweight, and Oversized Baggage Fees

Excess Baggage: $42–$45.20 per additional piece, up to a maximum of two extra pieces.

Overweight Baggage:

Boeing 737 Routes: Bags weighing between 23.1 kg (50.9 lbs) and 32 kg (70.5 lbs) incur a fee of $42–$45.20 per piece.
ATR 42 Routes: Bags exceeding 20 kg (44 lbs) up to 32 kg (70.5 lbs) incur the same fee.
Note: Bags over 32 kg (70.5 lbs) are not accepted as checked baggage and must be shipped as cargo.

Oversized Baggage: Items with linear dimensions over 157 cm (62 inches) up to 203 cm (80 inches) are subject to an oversize fee of $42–$45.20.

Combined Fees: If a bag is both overweight and oversized, the maximum fee charged is $84–$90.40.

Traveling with Infants and Children

Infants (Under 2 Years): No checked baggage allowance; however, you may bring necessary items such as a diaper bag, stroller, or car seat.

Children (2 Years and Older): Entitled to the same baggage allowance as adults.

Special Items and Sports Equipment

Air North accepts various special items and sports equipment, such as bicycles, skis, and musical instruments. These items may count toward your checked baggage allowance or incur additional fees, depending on size and weight.
