Scandinavian Airlines Name Change Policy

Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) allows passengers to change the name on an unused ticket for flights operated by SAS, accommodating both minor corrections and complete transfers to another traveler.

Name Change Policy:

Eligibility: Name changes are permitted up to 1 hour before the scheduled departure time.

Fees: A fee of 600 DKK/NOK/SEK (or the equivalent in local currency) per traveler applies to all name changes.

Passenger Type: It's not possible to change the passenger type (e.g., from adult to child or youth).

Procedure for Name Changes:

1. Contact Customer Service: To initiate a name change, reach out to SAS Customer Service.
2. Provide Necessary Information: Be prepared to supply your booking reference, current ticket details, and the correct name as it appears on the traveler's identification document.
3. Pay Applicable Fees: Settle the name change fee as specified.

Important Considerations:

Name Accuracy: Ensure that the name on your ticket matches the name on your passport or official identification. Discrepancies can lead to complications during check-in or boarding.

Special Characters: Due to SAS's booking system limitations, certain characters like 'ä' and 'ö' are displayed as 'a' and 'o' on tickets. These alterations are recognized and do not require correction.

EuroBonus Profile Updates: If you're an EuroBonus member and have legally changed your name, update your profile by logging in and using the name change form under Settings. Supporting documents, such as a copy of your passport or ID, are required.

SAS for Work Members: Members with a valid CMP code can change travelers' names on tickets free of charge, based on SAS's name change rules. Contact your travel agent or SAS Customer Service for assistance.
