Eligibility for Name Corrections:
- Corrections are permitted only for bookings made directly with Air India.
- If your booking includes segments operated by other airlines, name corrections cannot be processed; a new booking with the correct name must be created.
- Each passenger is allowed only one name correction per ticket.
- The correction must pertain to the same individual as on the original ticket.
Fees for Name Corrections:
- For domestic itineraries within India, a fee of INR 2,500 plus GST applies.
- For itineraries that include an international sector, the fee is USD 50 or its equivalent, plus applicable taxes.
Important Considerations:
- Name correction requests must be made at least 24 hours before departure.
- Requests are processed between 09:00 and 18:00 IST, Monday through Saturday. Sundays and public holidays are excluded.
- If the itinerary's date or flight is changed during the correction process, a date change penalty may be collected.
- Name corrections are not permitted within 24 hours of departure.
