Sri Lankan Airlines Flight Change Policy

SriLankan Airlines allows passengers to modify their bookings, including changing travel dates and cabin classes, through the "Manage My Booking" feature on their website.

Eligibility for Online Changes:

Only tickets purchased directly via SriLankan Airlines' official website are eligible for online modifications.

Tickets bought through travel agents or other channels must be changed by contacting the respective agent or the nearest SriLankan Airlines office.

Types of Changes Allowed Online:

Date Changes: Subject to fare conditions, applicable fees, and fare differences.

Cabin Class Changes: Upgrading or downgrading between Economy and Business Class, subject to fare conditions and availability.

Important Considerations:

Changes must be finalized at least 5 hours before the scheduled departure time. Modifications made within 5 hours of departure may incur a no-show fee.

For tickets purchased on or after August 31, 2024, the first date change fee is waived for fully unused tickets, provided changes are made before departure. However, any applicable fare differences or taxes will still apply.

Promotional tickets may have restrictions on changes; it's advisable to review the fare conditions during the booking process.

For changes involving origin/destination or route, you may need to cancel your ticket and rebook by contacting SriLankan Airlines' ticket offices or the Global Contact Center.

How to Apply Changes Online:
  1. Log in to "Manage My Booking" on the SriLankan Airlines website using your reservation number and last name.
  2. Click the "Change Flights" button to select new flight dates or cabin class.
  3. Complete the process as guided.
  4. Upon successful re-issuance, a confirmation email with your new itinerary and ticket details will be sent to you.
